The Evolution of Kinzie

Kinzie has grown, not only in her communication, but her faith and independence as well.
She’s learning that she doesn’t need to change who she is to fit in, but embrace the change that comes naturally.
Her dad has noticed this change in her and shared this with us:
“I’m just most proud to see that spiritual growth in her… you could see it inwardly before, but now you see the outward expression of it in her life and it’s a really neat thing to stand back and see God do that work in her.”

Kinzie’s stepmom agrees saying, “I would say that same thing. It’s her repentance quickly, like when she realizes ‘I did something [I shouldn’t have]', and she’ll come to us and apologize and tell us why.”
Kinzie is grateful for the accepting people around her who appreciate her kindness & quirks! Kinzie prioritizes her peace by surrounding herself with kind people at home and at GRACE: her own community that loves her unconditionally.

She knows that staying true to herself doesn’t mean never changing. At ITG, we teach GROWTH MINDSET: hard things are opportunities to grow, and we can learn how to improve our skills!
Reflecting on her interests as a kid vs. now, Kinzie remembers how she used to love to play outside, but now she prefers to play video games and watch movies. She’s still herself, just entering into new seasons!

Kinzie is still young, and like many of us at 24, she’s not sure what she wants to do vocationally. Through changing whims, there is a consistent thread: she wants to share her passions and interests with others.
From wanting to be an art teacher, professional gamer, or business owner, Kinzie knows she’s capable of doing anything she sets her mind to as long as she embraces her unique God-given talents and prioritizes herself and her faith.
A tax-deductible gift from you can make a difference in an ITG participant’s life. Will you join us in encouraging participants like Kinzie to be themselves?
