Kinzie's Journey

Since she was little, Kinzie always knew she was destined for greatness. But the journey to get there hasn’t been an easy one. She’s had obstacles with her physical and mental health, but that hasn’t stopped her from growing into a positive and caring person. 

Kinzie was often bullied growing up simply for being herself, and by the time she was in her early 20’s she had completely closed in on herself. Not having the tools she needed to express herself, Kinzie tended to bottle up her emotions until they eventually erupted in ugly words aimed toward those she loved. 

This is when she found GRACE. For her, this program was life changing. 

Her step-mom recalls her emotional reaction after meeting the ITG staff, “I honestly just broke down in tears because I said, ‘This is exactly what Kinzie needed,’ because everything’s spiritual… [the program] where she was going worked to a certain point, but she needed something more: and I feel like she has it now.”

Everyone at GRACE encourages Kinzie to express herself, teaching the skills she needs to sort through difficult emotions. She’s finally supported, empowered, and loved as she deserves to be.
